📱 What We’re Doing
You’ve probably heard people talk about “AI” a lot this year, but it can be hard to know what’s actually changed with the AI tools you might already be using — like Claude. This week, we’re catching you up on three real, useful updates that make Claude easier and more helpful to use, especially if you’ve tried it before and put it aside.
📱 What You’ll Need
- A device where you already use (or want to try) Claude — phone, tablet, or computer
- 5–10 minutes to explore one new feature
- No new sign-up needed if you already have an account
📊 What’s Actually New
🧠 Claude Now Remembers You
This is the big one. Claude can now remember things across your conversations — your preferences, ongoing projects, even people and pets you’ve mentioned — so you don’t have to re-explain yourself every time you open a new chat. This feature is now available to everyone, not just paid users. You can review or delete anything it remembers anytime in Settings. We covered the first version of this update back in “Claude Just Got a Much Better Memory” — this issue covers what’s changed since, plus two more updates.
🎤 Voice Mode Feels More Natural
You can now talk to Claude out loud and get a real spoken conversation back — no more stiff pauses or robotic replies. It’s especially handy if typing on a small phone screen isn’t your favorite thing, or if you just want to think out loud about something.
📄 Claude Can Now Create Real Documents
Ask Claude to make you a Word document, a spreadsheet, a slideshow, or a PDF, and it will actually build the file for you — ready to download. Great for things like a simple budget tracker, a printable recipe card, or a flyer for a community event.
💡 Try This This Week
Open Claude and ask it: “What do you remember about me?” It’s a simple way to see the memory feature in action — and you can always tell it to forget something if you’d rather it didn’t know.
🚦 When Something Goes Wrong
“I don’t want Claude remembering personal stuff.” You’re in control — go to Settings and you can turn memory off entirely, or just delete specific things it’s stored.
“Voice mode didn’t understand me.” Try a quieter room, or use the push-to-talk option if there’s background noise — it helps a lot.
“The document it made doesn’t look right.” Just ask Claude to adjust it — tell it what’s wrong in plain language, like “make the text bigger” or “add my logo,” and it’ll redo it.
✅ Try This First
If you only try one thing this week, ask Claude to remember something about you — a hobby, a project you’re working on, or an upcoming event — then start a brand-new conversation and ask what it remembers. Seeing it work firsthand is the best way to understand why this update matters.
Until next time,
— Steve
